it all comes down to the type of person...

the place really isn't bad, per se, but you can definitely find something better for the same amount.
management is alright. maintenance is ok, but seem to only bother picking up trash and general upkeep when told to. i have seen trash on the ground for days, weeks even, and it only gets picked up when reported/complained about. same goes with building/grounds maintenance. pool seemed to be dirty/unusable on a regular basis.
alot of the units have horribly crowded balconies/patios with furniture, junk, whatever and the management seems to not care. some even have junk piled outside the front door.
for the most part, the tenants we've interacted with are ok. but as elsewhere in life, there are those few... apparently, building #4 is littered with people who's sole reason in life is to spend each and every night outside the building/in the parking lot/around their vehicles drinking and talking, to the utter inconsideration of other tenants. i kid you not, each and every night. at times, they even turn their general hangout area into their own private patios, complete with chairs and music, blocking the sidewalks. i swear, one time, one of them even wheeled their television outside and they all gathered around with their chairs, on the grounds AND sidewalk to watch an effing spurs game. i kid you not.
it wouldn't bother me so much, i suppose, except for the fact that one woman in particular is a loud harpy with a screeching voice who likes to talk loudly and yell across the lot/grounds to other people. you know the type of person; loud and annoying to everyone but herself.
another tenant has THREE vehicles taking up THREE parking spots. one is a car, one is a motorcycle and one is a dead truck, that apparently has been parked there since he moved in. when i complained to the manager about him taking up THREE parking spaces, the response i got was, "well, his file is about this thick and he's been here for about 5 years." thanks, anthony.
kids run around screaming and playing, but they're kids, so... but every once in a while, they'll get in the way in the parking lot.
there's also your young trash that like to party loudly, smoke pot and are generally dissrespectful and ignorant of others. we have such trash living across and below us.
in a nutshell, the place really isn't that bad. it's just the people you end up living next to/around.
we're eagerly awaiting the end of march when our lease is up and we can get away from these people.
so there.
