OK Apartments But High For The Money
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 7/2/2005
Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
There is a lot of truth in the reviews written thus far. At this time I am a current resident and will be moving out at the end of July 2005. The apartments themselves are pretty nice. I like the open kitchen space I just wish there was a bigger eating area. The other thing is the living room is small especially if you live upstairs because your fireplace takes a big chunk out of it. The appliances were all in good condition. The problem with the toilets is true. I have had maintenance come out more than once but the problem has never really been fixed. We are always finding sugar ants everywhere and my wife keeps our apartment immaculate. It's more of a nuisance than anything but whatever they use to spray doesn't seem to help. I also don't like that the lighting inside the breezeways is poor. My biggest complaint is with the construction. The floors and walls seem to be paper thin because you can hear your neighbors above, below, and beside you. If you are going to live here make sure you live on the 2nd floor otherwise you will hear the people above you walking around.
What people have said about parking and trafic is true. It is hard to get a spot at night or on weekends. Getting in and out on DeZavala is easier said than done. I have never had problems with vandalism and have not seen anything like that happen. The only other thing I think should be improved is the fitness center. One nice thing is that they have a full free weight set and workout set but everything seems to be on its last leg. Overall it's an average community and the staff has always been nice to me but I think that you can get more for your money elsewhere. Again the best things about these apartments are:
1) it is less than 10 years old and
2) appliances and A/C work fine
3) Big Kitchen.
4) Basketball and Volleyball courts
Think twice if want:
1) Lots of parking
2) Easy access in and out of the community
3) Large Dining Room and Living Room
4) To not be able to hear neighbors.
Like I said overall it is an ok community but I think it is overpriced for what you get. You may just want to go by and see it for yourself to make your final decision.
