Although at first glance this seems to be a nice community, I would beware of renting here. The grounds are always littered with trash and dog doo. The maintenance is non-existant, My ceiling fan has been broke for 3 months with no help even though I request service for it at least once a week. Don't be fooled by the so called security gate. It's always broken. I have had my car broken into several times and all the staff can say is "Oh well". The parking is horrendous. It seems like they would at least have enough for the residents. Don't plan on going anywhere around 5:00, it's impossible to get out of the driveway, and last but not least is the office personnel. As long as your coming in to give them money they are nice enough, but if you want anything else be prepared to wait like your at the DMV. I've only been here for 4 months and will be re-locating as soon as my lease ends.

De Zavala Oaks is under new management. The new guy, David, seems to have his act together and seems to care about the apartment community and the residents. Hopefully he will help to make this community a great place to live.
