I've noticed alot of 'not so great reviews' about the complex, but perhaps you just have to find out for yourself basically. I've lived here since 2005, and have had no severe complaints, of course you'll have a problem from here to there, and that is of course why each complex has a maintenance staff,...right' The complex property is paid off therefore rent is alot more reduced compared to new complexs' that charge an arm and a leg for such small square footage. I did my research before I moved in to the Deer Oaks, which was about a good 40 complexs', and picked these. The office staff are sweethearts, and they are attentave. I was here when the mailboxes were vandalized, but c'mon people....you really CAN'T be safe anywhere. Robberies, burglaries happen regardless where you live. I honestly think several people are being too harsh on the ratings. I reccommend this complex to everyone I know, and look forward to my 5 year resident parking spot when I reach there, because I plan to live here until i purchase my first home...(which will be for a while!!) Racoons are a small issue, but they don't sit around looking for you to attack you, they're kinda shy and run off at headlights and of course hand around dumpsters. But atleast it's not roaches and rats IN your apt! There's wildlife all around medical center, so naturally, expect it. You see deer crossing the streets all Wurzbach and Babcock for pete's sake! I live in a 1 bed, 1 bath apt on the first floor, it's nicely secluded and shady, so it's always cool, not really a need for a/c...Ruth was right about that! I love the entire apt. Neighbors' Of course there's always atleast one person that may cause a little ruckus, but you should expect that already for living in apartments. Again, I enjoy living here!!!
