It's a great place to live, considering it's location near the medical center and convenience to virtually everything (shopping, etc.). But, whatever you do, be sure of the floorplan you choose prior to signing a lease. The Lubbock floorplan is RIDICULOUS when it comes to utility bills! I've NEVER had to pay a $250 electric bill in my life (yes, that's for ONE month!!!). And no, I don't leave everything on 24/7 either!!! I'm away from home from 7 AM until 6 PM - 5 or 6 days a week, too. So, if you DO choose the 1 bedroom with a loft floorplan, be certain to allocate the appropriate funds every month (if the rent is $800, then add an extra $150 to $250 for electricity, and be sure to add an extra $20 a month if you want to park anywhere near your building). Yes, parking is an absolute NIGHTMARE!!! As far as the looks and amenities are concerned, the designs are great (except for the dangerously small half-step stairway to the upsatirs loft), and the office staff is excellent in service, including the maintenance guys. If you truly comprehend any of these words, please trust me when I say that the best thing to do is to pray to Christ/God/Buda/Alah to provide mild temperatures, so your monthly bill won't break your budget once you move in. I've spoken with many other residents here and they all say the same thing; the loft apartment bills are ENORMOUS!!!
