I would like to set the record straight in regards to the reviewer who stated they were charged $75000.00 for faulty wiring and the fire. THAT IS COMPLETE BULL CRAP!!! I know what really happened. It is an old community and they have issues, but the fire that person is talking about was caused by her stupid sister. Her sister was smoking a cigarrette on the patio and threw it on the floor of her balcony. It was windy and the cigarrette started a fire between the apartment below and her apartment. Her sister was at work so she has no clue what happened. Infact, she should be upset with her sister for ruining both of thier credit and should consider herself lucky she was not sued. The fire department has it documented that it started by a cigarrette! It happened in building 13 in March 2005. Those girls caused a family of 4 to lose ALL OF THIER BELONGINGS! Several residents had smoke damage in thier apartments and were displaced. The office put them in other apartments at the same price they paid for what they were in and even transfered them to sister communities at no cost to them. It does state in the lease contract that you are responsible for your own security and belongings and this is why I have renters insurance. These girls have the nerve to blame wiring when it was thier fault. Dont get me wrong, several residents have issues with maintenance and so forth, but come on ... you were charged because your sister started the fire!!!!!! Don't put too much thought of the accounts in reference to the management and property, because they were written by someone on staff. They do have asbestos and lead. They do have several car break ins and robberys, but that is true anywhere in the medical center.
