We are a military family, and as such have NEVER had a problem getting an apartment. Not only were we poorly treated but they first accepted us, then denied us, then accepted with 6 months paid in advance, simply because my husband was coming into a bonus. Absolutely rediculous. THEN, when we finally accepted everything and signed the paperwork, Suddenly we were given a studio, NOT a 2/2 like we thought we were given. This was simply.. terrible. Absolutely terrible.

Apparently, they have also been blacklisted from many real estate agencies for their poor treatment of tenants. This was a shocker to me. I think I will work only through a third party to prevent getting totally screwed in the future.

Bottom line: They sound sweet, but those girls working there are MUCH more devious than you would think.

If you ever want a good 3rd party locater, I HIGHLY recommend that you call Maykin Cathey at Apartmnts Now (866-558-7377). She is a former apt manager herself and is a wealth of information. She has years of experience in San Antonio apartments, she knows the good places, the bad places, the good managers and the bad. I am using her for the 3rd time now and she has always, always steered me in the right direction. She's AWESOME! I've tried other apartment locaters, none of them do a tenth of the work Maykin has done on my behalf.
