Be careful what you wish for........

So you think youre getting a great deal....a huge apartment with all bills paid at a reasonable price....yeah right. my opinion, you are better off renting a nice apartment for $600-700 and paying your own elecricity (b/c really that is the only bill youre getting paid for you). I rented this apt because I had a broken lease from my college days (almost 7 yrs ago) thinking that this would help me rebuild my rental history. I figured "hey 800 for a 2 bd room all bills paid for my infant and I was a great deal". Well......dont know why they even had me fill out a move-in checklist because everything on there that i listed as being wrong with the place is still wrong with it....nothing has been fixed (6 mos later). have paint chippin gon the walls, which is really scary with an infant because no telling if there is any lead in the paint that is underneath...yeah they tell you there isnt but c'mon you can really take all they tell you for truth. carpet was sworn up and down before i moved in that it would be new and appliances would be new. moved in and carpet was disgusting and looked like it had been here since the 80's and appliances probably since the 70's. gotta stove that 9 times out of ten youre gonna get schocked because the wiring is screwed up and the burners are all slanted so youre lucky if youre pots dont fall off. everything you read about the cats and mold is absolutely correct. just infront of my building i know there are almost 10 stray cats...which really sucks because i have severe allergies to cats!! and the vents are so disgusting and dirty you could only imagine what is actually in the vents....oh and the roaches, lets just say they are freaking huge and so many....oh and maintenance (again) sucks... there was a hole about a foot deep that was left uncovered in the courtyard area for almost a month...maintenance finally covered it but the dirt is already sinking in so it is just a matter of time before it sinks in again. the majority of the people here are fine and keep to theirselve but you do have the few that make the place totally uncomfortable for the rest of us. yes, on any given night you will see drug deals going on and suspicious people hanging around outside...in fact one night a guy got busted by the cops for buying drugs at the complex and tried to get us to let him in to our apt to hide from the cops. the office knows about this and it is sad because they dont do anything about it. also you can just about bet to have your car broken into if you live here. apparently they got security to patrol around here, but you never see them and the same crap still goes on around here. also it seems that a bunch of people here really dont give damn about other people because they leave their trash out in the parking lot and dirty diapers at their front door. Not exactly a place you'd feel good about bringing your family or friends to. overall, this place really sucks and if you actually decide to move here then good luck...remember if it sounds too good to be true then it probably is.
