I have had several problems and just found this web site.
I have lived here just over a year and NO the office manager has not been here for five years. I have the announcement for her welcome to the apartment complex team. Funny how they can just make anything up. On the subject of the office manager. I recently had a problem and had to deal with her. she was
unprofessional..rude..childish..argumenitive. and said many things and did the exact opposite..she would tell my husband something and something else to me. and that was just the beginning. She continued to cause problems for me even after the problem ( which was not taken care of)
In my breezway I have 3 neighbors. All three have had several problems of their own with the management staff. I've seen many people come and go. I recently decided not to renew my lease. I put in my 30 day notice when I was informed it has now changed to 60 days. Now my lease states 30 days. I wasnever informed the policy had changed. Now just because they changed the policy without notifying us we had an option of renewing with no fee or break our lease with a huge fee. I feel trapped. You bet 60 prior to my lease term I will be gone.
The office staff has NEVER been helpful any anyway.
The maintance team is okay.
The property Looks okay from the outside but the conditions in our apartment are horrible. I have a hole in my bathroom ceiling for about 4 months. I have paint peeling from the walls. My wall is coming apart in the corner from top to bottom. And many more. All of these things have been reported to the office. Nothing has been done.
I feel as though maybe I have complained to much but I haven't started with the big issues.
Overall I have never been so unhappy with my living situation. I can't wait to leave.
Please anyone considering moving in. Stop and talk to a few residence. I feel confident enough that anyone here could share a problem or two with you.

The lease is your legal and binding agreement. Unless the lease explicitly says that the management is at liberty to change the lease terms without any written notices to the tenant, you will have to abide by their changes to the lease terms. If not, then you stand to win damages over and above the amount you paid as penalty to terminate your lease in small claims court. Good luck. I have been in a situation like yours. :)

Personally, I have not been in your situation or will I ever. I read your comment and it states some facts, from your point of view, and it is abstract as well. If you believe you have been wronged in anyway, call the office, speak with the ACTUAL MANAGER, face-to-face, in a written meeting to resolve the issue. If that doesn't work, then write a complaint letter to the office then the corporate office (address on the lease). I'm single, and have been living here since April, I have seen children (maybe not yours) running around with no supervision, but I take it amoung myself to insure their safety. I have seen garbage in places that should not be, I pick it up. If you don't work within the organization, in a positive matter, you may not get the result you are looking for. This in no means is an attack on your comment. I wish you well and success.

saintiny, you are nuts. How can you think its everyone else's responsibility for the children of other people? Plus have you ever talked to the management? I hope the readers can see that there are REAL issues here and not get caught up in the fact that the staff wants to mess with the reviews. This is supposed to be for the renters...
