I have lived here for about 6 months now and at first i really didnt have any problems. Our great neighbor is the root of the problem now. The tenant who looks and acts like hes 12 years old is discourteous, and i guess has a hearing problem since his stereo is so loud it shakes our wall about 3-4 times a week. I have called the courtesey officer NUMEROUS times but the noise continues. I have called SAPD, and our neighbor refuses to answer his door. I have called the office and Stephanie assured me that i was not the only tenant that complained about him. She said there have been numerous complaints, he has already been warned several times and she assured me that measures would be taken since he was becoming such a nuisance to numerous people. 3 weeks later and no improvement. I called the office again today to complain and about 10 minutes later i find our welcome mat was tossed into the grass. I guess rug rat isnt man enough to come to our door to confront me face to face, too bad. Next time i will be waiting for him at my front door after i call in a complaint. Bottom line, as long as you are a paying renter they really dont care what you do, or how rude and immature you are. It doesnt matter how many people complain about your conduct, or how much of a punk you are, escalante just wants their rent. I cant wait to get into a house where i dont have to deal with immature trash such as this piece of work.

I totally disagree. I have been here about a month and since day 1 the carpet is badly stained in every room and they haven't replaced the carpet. The tenant before us had a dog.. and what if we were allergic to dogs? I was disappointed at the condition of the apartment when we moved in. It is very quiet but, that is really the only great thing about living here. As far as requests, I have had to call numerous times in order to get anything done. I'm glad you have had a good experience but, I certainly have not!

Wait for the ants, and your car getting broken into.

Hey sonny3683- not sure what building / unit you live in, but I have the same problem w/ rude, loud, extremely discourteous neighbors @ Escalante. They can't have a regular conversation on their patio- they must shout / yell, drop f-bombs. This usually starts @ 10 PM or later. I too have complained to the office, the courtesy line and SAPD. No results. So far the office's ONLY response has been a polite note in their quarterly newsletter asking residents be mindful that they live in a community. For what its worth, a stiffer penalty was just approved by City Council for violation of the noise ordinance.

What building are you in? Please advise, we are thinking about moving here and I want to know what building to stay away from!
