I haved lived in these apartments for six months now and all I get is bad appliances, dirty carpets, biting ants and horrible excuses from management. Since day one (move in day) I was promised clean, brand new carpets and working appliances. In the first week my dishwasher was not working, my sink had to be completely replaced and the carpet was full of stains. I also had rented a storage unit that was dirty and smelled like something died in it and sat there for months. In the past five months, we have had our roof leak due to the unit above us, we also had our bedroom invaded by ants and other unknown bugs that bite. We have shaking ceiling fans still and a broken closet door. We were told if they were to fix it and it were to fall apart again then we would be held responsible. The door hinge was just glued on to begin with, no wonder it was broken. Oh yea, now that I think about it we also had leaking roofs on all or most units and the water started leaking through our windows. I went to put in a work order and they said that they were switching roof people because nothing was getting done. Still nothing has been done. Eventually, (almost a month if not later) someone came in to paint over the mold that was building up on the windows. I'm not sure how that fixed the problem but to the office staff and management that was good enough. Also in the bathrooms and pretty much everywhere there are cracks that are just filled with silly putty. It seems like everything in these apartments is nailed poorly or glued to the wall. When we went to the office to put in all the work orders the first time, yea they came but they fixed and replaced what they wanted. Everything else was left falling apart. But maintenance did sign off on the work order saying they had handled ALL problems. I went back over and over (not exagerating) and put in numerous work orders to get things fixed and once again nothing got done. I put in numerous work orders to replace a window screen and a month later after I went to complain again, they finally came to replace it. (it was a window screen for crying out loud). I even had to deal with the manager from the Carmel apartments to get things taken care of. By the way the Carmel manager did get some things taken care in a prompt manner. (Carmel is the apartments next door that are owned by the same company). The office staff has apparently lost work orders that I had put in and even written them on a piece of paper other then a work order sheet and forgot about it. I have delt with many staff memebers that seem to not have it together and two property managers that forget or loose memory of conversations that took place in their offices. I spoke to neighbors about these situations and they seem to have the same problems and still no one is taking care of there problems as well as mine. We pay an arm and a leg to live in these conditions and feel like we have no where to go. We got ourselves in to a lease and can't get out. We moved in here thinking it would be great, save money and when the lease is up, we get a house. We still are going to get in to a house but living here is like nothing I would ever wish upon anyone. Oh and guess what.... 2008 is not starting out to well. Jan. 1, 2008--water leak under the sink in guest bathroom. Called office numerous times and they can't get hold of a maintenance man. So now I am spending my time at home waiting for someone to respond instead of spending my new year with my family. Happy New Year's to me! There are many complaints and problems that I have not even spoke of yet. I am only one opinion so don't let me persuade you but I will tell you that you will regret ever moving in here.
