Our apartment was burglarized with the doors and windows locked. Obviously whoever "broke in" had a key according to us and the police. The management denied that there could be a flaw in their system and that an employee could have had access to a key. Even though the maintenance guy had access when he made us a key because they where one key short upon move in. My boyfriend is also a police officer, however they stil refused to cooperate in any way. They did offer for the same staff that we suspected to come and change our locks.
The bottom line is that if you suffer a loss and there is any possibility of liability on management, do not expect ANY cooperation (Risk Management). In fact they have gone out of their way to keep from proving -or disproving that their employee(s) had any involvement. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

September, I think. Have the locks rekeyed, but then again, who can you trust when it comes to something like this? They make the keys on-site so, he still works here... Just for the record, our balcony windows were open but, unless he was part bird or spider, the third floor is way to high to pull something like this in the hour I was gone. I objected to the gates being left open during the day and even warned the manager about the likelihood of an increase in vehicle burglaries -she didn't care "We don't advertise a secure complex" was her response to me. So, secure anything of value! We are breaking our lease and moving out before something else happens. Best of luck to you all!!

When was your apartment bulglarized? I live in Escalante too, and this is important to know. The same thing happened when we moved in, they were one key short.
