I have lived at Escalante for 4 years now. Yes, the parking is absolutely horrible but overall the apartments were clean, affordable, and have a good location. But since Lincoln Properties took it over, it has gone downhill. Tammy at the front office is dreadful to deal with and has an excuse for every problem you have. She never takes blame or offers any apologies other than somehow the tenant always is the culprit. Emily with a huge tattoo on her arm is rude and unprofessional. She always makes you seem like you're bothering her if you go to the front office or call in. Bethany is the only decent person working at the front office and is always friendly. However, they have lost my rent checks in the past. Also, one day the front office was broken into and all that day's checks turned in were stolen. The residents were never made aware of this until I called to ask why my check hadn't cleared. The maintainence crew is a bit shady and seems like they'll walk in your apartment for any reason. I came home once to find my patio furniture was completely moved around and my back door was open. I was terrified since I live alone and am on the 2nd floor. When I called the front office Tammy aka "Sherlock Holmes" said,"yeah, someone was probably in there" but never offered any resolution or apology. Overall, the apartments themselves are nice but management is awful. Parking is also a major problem. If you are not home by 6pm or have guests over, you will have to walk across the complex or park at Carmel. The dumpsters are always full and people don't pick up after their pets.

If you have lived here for 4 years as stated you actuallly leased the apartment from Lincoln Properties. As the new manager I took over on June 08, I do not recall having the above mention conversation, but I would like to resolve any and all concerns you have. I agree that Bethany is really helpful. The problem with people's pets is very true. I've called the office, and they sent someone right away to clean it up, but they forgot to clean up the walkway where someone had stepped on dog poop and smeared it all over as they walked through. I can understand that it may be impossible to patrol the grounds 24/7 but there should be more control and more severe consequences for the careless people that are not respectful of other people without pets.
