This is just my opinion but I think these people are being unfair. What exactly do you expect management to do about things that you fail to mention to them until it has bottled up on you. Sarasteele is saying that she stayed at Esclante dispite so many things that she failed to mention to the office. How exactly do you expect them to correct the things you never mention to them. It seems like you are just throwing these things out now and expecting a miracle to happen. The office staff is not mind readers they don't know what is going on unless you, as the residnet that is there 24/7, tell them. How many of your office staff live on that complex' Probably 1 or 2 at most. You can't expect them to know everything. Let me ask you this, if a car was stolen or broken into in a neighborhood where you bought your house, who would you blame' There is no office staff to call and blame for a car break in or a stolen car. We live in America where cars are stolen all over the city. Its not like it can only happen at an apartment complex. Wake up! You are just looking for someone to blame and there is no one to blame but society. on top of that what did you expect to get after "renting" an apartment. If you were expecting to gain some sort of value like you do when you are buying a house then you are really naive! Renting means that it is not yours, buying means it will be yours. Know the difference and educate yourself! The guy that is complaing that maintenance "had" to be the one that is going onto his apartment moving stuff around....come on guy, seriously! Just so you know maintenance guys get paid very well. Could it possibly be a friend of yours that you pissed off' Could you have had a drunken night that you don't remember. You are just so quick to place blame on a maintenance guy because he or she wears a pair of jeans to work and not a suit. Unlike you he actually gets down and dirty when he works. That does not mean that he is a thief! Its because of people like you who like to "assume" that make this world so messed up.

Society? Come on patrol with me sometime. You'll see a whole different side of society. I worked my ass off got way more dirty and put in 20 hour days. I've dug ditches, plowed fields, was an ASE Master Technician for 14 years and grew up in construction mostly framing and roofing. Come talk to me when you have worked as hard as I have. I put my JEANS on the same way the maint. guys do one leg at a time. Since you arent in law enforcement I will cut you some slack. Your post is full of assumptions and suggestive rhetoric. All my friends are cops that I would trust with my life and probably have more guns than I do. As far as what she forgot to mention, that was to the original posting. Management and SAPD knew all of the information. Let me ask you a question. If you were gone for one hour, came home living on the third floor and something that was very valuable and sentimental was missing, no signs of forced entry, nothing disturbed -just missing. What would you do? You are a liar or stupid if you wouldnt suspect anyone that has access to a key. Cops arent very well liked or respected by some people and for good reason their are some real jack-asses. I knew that when I got into this field. Anytime someone feels as if they have mistreated by the law -and have the opportunity to "get back" at one they will -regardless of their socio-economic status.

This is a reply to my review, you made this as your own review instead? Great way to stop me from defending myself. I did notify the office of the loud parties, the car parked in the covered space, and every other thing i noticed... down to what the dog and owner looked like that left poop in the grass for us all to enjoy. It is clear to me that you are involved with the office staff as you are trying to bash the unhappy residents, which simply proves my point (as well as many other reviews here) that the staff is rude and managing the property is not at the top of their list of priorities. Regarding your reply to this comment *quote* After 11 years of paying rent on time and recieving no reward, no equity, you'd think we would be a favorable tenant... Read more: http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/TX-San-Antonio-Escalante-Apartments-859393.html#ixzz0WbfnwSMM (again clearly identifying you as the aforementioned rude apartment leasing staff): the comment was simply me pointing out that i got no respect even though i always paid rent on time. I did not blame the office for the vehicle break-ins, this is a review of what happens on the property, thats how the review process works... if a person doesnt want to chance having their car broken into, they will want to know the history in the area. It is clear that there is an influx of on-property crime. We have a right to notify potential residents of what we have witnessed. And finally, calling a reviewer an alcoholic liar that has Charles manson-like friends is only going to serve you in the following way: proof again that the office staff is rude and completely oblivious of the concerns of the residents.
