I moved to the Stone Oak area due to relocating offices in San Antonio. This area is known for being very "well-off", nice, clean and safe. My roommate and I had looked in the Medical center area and the Stone Oak area for apartments. This was our last stop. It was pricey, as we expected, but they gave us some discounts for a 24hr look and lease, signing a 13 month and a preferred employer discount. Even though, half of the apartment complex is still being built, the grounds are well kept. They should be since the apartment complex waters the grass every 2 hours. Right now since we arent part of the Edwards Aquifer they charge the apartment complex as a whole for all water being used which comes out to about $30/mnth. Not to happy about that. The staff was extremely nice when they were trying to get us to lease there. Now, when the tenants who actually need items fixed, they make us feel like we are bothering them. About half of the complex is built now and they STILL only have ONE maintenance man. I mean all the money everyone is paying and they can only afford to pay once maintenance man''' Give me a break. The leasing office also lacks communication skills when it comes to their tenants. They were supposed to lay the final asphalt in the parking lots about 8 different times which only 5 of these times I was notified. Once they're laying asphalt you cannot move your vehicle. So if you happened to be off of work that day or it was weekend and you slept in, you were pretty much stuck in your house all day. It just seems to be one excuse after another with these people. I'm sure if I didnt pay rent one month they would have no problem trying to reach me. Their answering service is the worst with all the attitude and lack of enthusiasm. Half the time they don't even know the name of the apartment complex and don't relay messages to the leasing office. My main complaint is they have not fixed anything we put on our list the day we moved in. They are brand new apartments, nothing should be wrong. And if there was, it should have been fixed within the first month. We've been in our apartmentment going on 3 months and only one item has been fixed.
If I had to rate the staff, including their crappy answering service, I would give them a 5 out of 10.
The grounds: 8 out of 10
Parking for guests: 2 out of 10
Getting items fixed in a timely manner: 3 out of 10
Area it's located in: 9 out of 10
