i lived in these apartments for over a year in 2006-2007. during this time, i had a truck wreck in front of my apartment door..my car was broken into twice..numerous issues with the actual apartment being fixed the wrong way..the young lady at the front office would hit on me in front of my fiance, and when i eventually shot down her advances, i was treated like crap for the rest of my lease term. my rent was a day late one month during the lease and she came to my door personally. when i opened the door she yelled "where's my money, [name of resident]" completely disregarding the fact that i had company in my apartment that were listening to the loud and abrupt conversation. i was also promised a free ipod upon moving in which was never given to me. and to top it off, when i left the apartment complex the manager told me that because i worked hours that were the same as the office hours of operation, that i could drop my key off in the night box. one year later i receive a call from a collection agency making threats to me saying that the apartment complex claimed that i had over $300 in charges that were never resolved..claiming that they didn't receive my keys until a week after i dropped them off causing the rent to be extended for those days. they also charged me for cleaning which i took care of and they disregarded my deposit that i gave them. i attempted to dispute the charge but the collection agency says that the apartment complex has not returned any of their calls. i wouldn't recommend this apartment complex to anybody with standards. the price that i paid here is more than i am paying now in a townhome with even more room. to wrap it up; 5th avenue apartments sucks.......a lot.

I really didn't want to get into detail with the multiple situations that lead me to write this comment. But, it goes beyond being nice, and almost beyond being a flirt. Some of the comments that were directed towards me were insulting to my (now-wife), and disrespectful to the company that the young, blonde woman is working for. I didn't at first want to include that in my review, but it definately did affect me living at the apartment and had an effect on my relationship with the office employees. Please understand that I am in no way "tooting my own horn" with this matter. This was something that definately was not accepted in flattering way, and is not only unprofessional for any staff, but also could have lead to a lot more serious of a situation, should I have chose to stay at the apartment complex any longer.

Ya know people like you really make an apartment look bad. Ya'll should just move out if you dont like it. I lived in these apartments for almost 6 years and what you are saying about fifth avenue is totally wrong. Sarah I will have you know that she is happily married and does not go banging on peoples doors for the rent and does not hit on other tennants, PLEASE do complain someplace else because they do not want to hear it nor do I want to hear you bash my favorete apartment community ever. Fifth Avenue is the best place to live, it is quiet, lots of trees, lots of friendly people and the apartments are nice. They may not be upgraded to the life of luxury but they are really nice and worth every penny you spend on it for rent also the office staff is worth leasing with because they are wonderful.

I live in these apts. now and I am a woman and I have seen for myself the favoritism that those two women in the office show towards men and I believe when he says they went to his door demanding money because they did the same thing to me when it was their own clerical error. These 2 women are the definition of unprofessional and incompetent. I'm sure the the two commentator's above are just friends of theirs who don't want to hear the truth.

I live in these apartments now and I am a woman as well. I don't feel that I get treated any differently than any other person (man or woman)! That's the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Clerical error so what.....stuff happens but I'm sure it got fixed and you didn't have to worry about it after that. I think Fifth Avenue is a good place to live and worth the price. Sorry that the 2 of you feel it has been such a bad experiance, mine has been very good and have a no complaints!
