Apts are falling apart, we actually had a really bad experience in these apts, we had someone try to break into out apt, ( the couple downstairs actually had some one break in and steal many of their personal items.) A week after we moved out we recieved a letter from the apts stating that we owed all these additonal charges. It was a one bedroom apt very small and it was only my fiance and I who lived there. We didnt damage the apt but we were accused of doing so and charged all these unnecessary fees. We always paid on time and were never late in the whole year we did live there. When we confronted the apt manager they were not helpful at all and could not give us a reason why we were being charged all these fees. The were very rude and very short with us. I feel that we are being taken advantaged of and I do not feel that we are responsible for the 850.00 in charges that we are being charged. DO NOT MOVE into these apts and if you do make sure you are on top of it and do not get screwed by the apartment management company the way we did. This was really ridicoulous and if I would of known this I would of never moved into these apts. I feel that they might be adding additional nonsense charges that the residence are not responsible for. Well I just want to let you know that.. we just moved out of Fountainhead SATURDAY and turned in our keys, we have already discussed the SAME ISSUE because we have heard That they screw many people on sending out crazy bills afterwards...SO IF THIS HAPPENS WITH US..maybe you and I can get together and get a lawyer.. cause I know DAMN WELL OUR APARTMENT is not damaged they arent going to stick us with that..we scrubbed that pplace CLEAN!

I have looked in to this because of the bill they sent me. TAA is more of an aide to the property not the tenant. They advised me that the best thing to do was contact an Attorney which in the long run would cost me about the same ($350) as what they were trying to charge me ($430) so I wrote Fountainhead a final letter stating that they would not recieve any money from me and if the continued to harass me for FALSE DUES I would get the attorney. Haven't heard from them yet but, if you both are serious about getting an attorney, contact me and maybe we can do a joint "case". miriamramirez4@yahoo.com

Hi mir460, I went to Fountainheads office to discuss the charges with the property manager yesturday and they gave me copies of pictures they took of our apt ( which actually does not even look like our apt.) I actually made them give me a copy of my walk-through which I did specifically indicated there were stains on carpet and the carpet was old when we first moved in the apt. I guess they really dont take that document into consideration when a tenant moves out. They are ridiculous they told me that I am responsible for the 795.00 ( they removed 50.00) and that they were going to report to the credit bureaus if I did not pay them. I got a copy of my walk through inventory sheet, my lease, the pictures they took. I would like to proceed in getting a attorney to look over this case with us if you are still interested. I wonder if anyone else has a experience at Fountainhead similar to ours. Also if anyone knows of a attorney who we can discuss this with. If so please advice.
