We lived at the Glendora apartments for approximately 6 weeks. From day 1 the air conditioner never worked along with the following items that were reported to management at the apartments: standing water in the bath tub, standing water outside of the dwelling, grounds needing mowing (code compliance was call on this item). We made several complaints to the apartment manager about the items listed above. After two weeks had past I contacted code compliance to file an investigation on the apartments. I continued to contact the apartment manager about the items but no action was taken. I went into the apartment office to pay my rent and I was told that my rent would no longer be accepted. During this time I asked for my security deposit of $300.00 back and they refused to do so. The following day, while we were at work, our electricity was turned off from the inside. We contacted the apartment manager about this issue because we thought that MAYBE they turned off the electricity to possible work on the air condition. The apartment manager stated that it was not them that turned off the electricity that maybe it was CPS. We contacted CPS and there was no work order on file stating to have the apartments electricity turned off. Having no where else to live, we stayed in the apartment until my wife gave birth to our son on September 29, 2007. After being released from the hospital on October 4, 2007 we went to obtain our personal possessions and found that someone had broken a window that lead into the apartment and had taken everything. We contacted police to file a report. During the police officers investigation the apartment manager told the police officer that we had abandoned the property. The only time we were not at the apartment was during the time our son was born. We have made several attempts to contact the apartment manager but had to leave several voice messages. As of today, no one has called us back.
