You better have protection

Staying here was okay, the office staff was very friendly. The always answered my questions. Also I gave them my 30 day notice a week late and they were generous enough to let me move out the day of my lease instead of prorating me 7 more days, even though thats what is said in the lease.
The apartment was in excellent shape, and the appliances were newer than alot of the others I looked at. I had new carpet and never once, had a maintence problem.
Okay here is the bad part though, 2 things: One this place is defitnilty not for college students, I was living next to a 4 person family in an efficiency. How ghetto is that' Four people cramed into a 412 sq ft efficency. The dad beat the crap out of his wife all the time and the kids cryed all day and I could hear that through my walls.
The worst thing, was the the safety, since they don't have gated fences and anyone can come in. First my car was broken into and my very nice cd player was stolen. So don't plan on having a nice system unless you have an alarm and you'll be up all night worrying and sometimes even checking on your car. Another thing was my neighbor had his house burglarized and he was tied up. The two burglares ran out the window when the cops got there and I heard this foot chase and it scared the crap out of me. Those guys had shotguns and pistols on them. So I would recommend having some form of protection with in your apartment and something on you when you to and from your car late at night.
Other than the safety and family disturbances my stay here was pretty good, I liked not having to get anything fixed and the friendly management. If you aren't worried about safety and can protect yourself then it shouldn't be bad. BUY AN ALARM FOR YOUR CAR IF YOU DON'T ALREADY HAVE ONE, IT REALLY SUCKS WHEN YOU ARE GOING HOME FOR X-MAS VACATION AND YOU FIND YOUR STEREO GONE AND NOTHING TO LISTEN TO ON THE WAY HOME.
