Moving out and the charges are ridiculous. Nice to you when you live there, not so nice when you move out.

I recently moved out of the Highlands Apts. Parking was scarse in some areas unless you had a assigned parking and the management was unreachable outside of office hours. I was charged an arm and a leg when I moved out. They wanted me to do ALL the cleaning. I lived in the same unit for 1.5 years. They charged a "set" fee for the carpet shampooing, "set" fee for the touch up paint, for the spill pans on the stove, for not wiping the blades of the ceiling fan and for the tub not being pearly white after a year and a half. I?m not sure what was left for them to clean' Unfortunately, I was disappointed in the treatment I deserved. They walked through my apartment after I left, so I could not argue anything.
Parking sucks, I had a carport and people kept on parking in my spot. I had to call the "answering service" to get it towed but you can't until an office personnel came out to view the car. Basically, nothing happened. I complained four times in 3 weeks. Nothing.
Complex is small and nice. The landscaping is scant and not very appealing. Pricy apartments. I got a "special" with a washer and dryer and after my first lease was up, the rent went up $90. That was after I got rid of the W/D.
The blond at the office is condescending and not nice at all. Everyone else is pleasant. The blond was the one who did my walk through and basically told me SOL to the charges because it was her word against mine.
