I've been living here since May 2008. The outside of the apartments are great, but lit very poorly at night. I'm living in a 2 bedroom on the second floor, very nice floor plan. I can't hear the neighbors (like I could at the last apartment complex I lived in, but I do hear their shower going occassionally). The area is pretty quiet. The police department is right down the street. Neighbors are very friendly.

My problems with this place are as follows....

1. The jacuzzi has been broken since I've moved in. I have called and complained about it wondering when it is going to get fixed. I keep getting the run around and was even told that it probably won't be fixed til next year because they are getting ready to close the pool for the season. The WHOLE POINT of a jacuzzi is to relax in it DURING THE WINTER.

2. The maintainance staff. They really suck. They do come quickly (or so they did the first couple times I needed them). My a/c wasn't blowing cold enough air and I had them come over multiple times and pretty much checked it over and told me the same thing they told me the first time they came to look at it. Right now, my dishwasher is messing up on me. I haven't used it in months (because I normally hand wash my dishes. It makes them a lot cleaner!!!) and now I have water all over the floor in my kitchen. I called and told the girl up front about it. Told me to put a towel down on the floor and she would let maintainance know asap. I did that. I just called again (at 5:15pm -ish) and she then told me that she would have them there first thing in the morning! What the hell am I supposed to do with a big ass puddle of WATER in the middle of my kitchen floor!!!!!!''' I am very angry about this. I pay too much money to live here for them to take their sweet time to fix things. After I wrote this, the maintainance did come last night to fix my dishwasher. The only thing I dislike about them are the fact that do they a half assed job b/c they don't feel like fixing it. For the time being, the dishwasher is working. Wonder how long it will take them NEXT time.

3. The pool is always filthy. Everytime you get in it, you have to clean it yourself. My friend has complained about this multiple times as well.

4. Pests. I've seen a few pests running around here. Not sure how they get in here. I keep my place clean enough to EAT off my floor and am still having problems with them! Ants were getting bad too, but are gone for the time being.

5. Some of the neighbors are leaving their trash outside there doors FOR DAYS!! I had to complain on one neighbor b/c it had been sitting there for a week and a half. I can be lazy too but geez! When I have my friends come over, I would like for them to not see things that like. And plus, when you're showing off the apartments to people who may want to live here, it's a little disgusting to see things like this. The girl up front had to get one of the maintainance guys to pick up the trash and put it in the dumpster. I thought that was rather RUDE to get that guy to do it, when it wasn't his, but whatever.

6. The gates are ALWAYS breaking down. I'm sorry but the WHOLE point of me living here is because I wanted a gated home. I don't feel safe when anybody who's anybody can just come on in and do as they please. And I hate the fact that there is only ONE way out and people are constantly coming in through the exit gate.

7. The parking as you first enter is very limited. Half the time you have to park far away from your apartment because there is no more spaces.

8. As far as the noise goes, the showers made a lot of noise. The faucet head thingy needed to be changed. I went to the store and bought my own, but occassionally you can hear the people's upstairs. They should get that checked out. Haha.


9. The a/c units don't seem to cool the place off well. My electric bill is pretty high, which is RIDICULOUS for a 2 bedroom apartment. It seems like the a/c runs all day just to keep it cool. The last apartment I lived in elsewhere had a MUCH BETTER a/c unit than this old thing.


10. Some of the appliances are old. I did get a new stove when I moved in which takes forever and a day to preheat. There are no handles on the cabinets, which really erk me. There isn't very much cabinet space at all.

So far those are the only things I can think of at this moment. I do think there are A LOT of things that need to be worked on here. I do love the floor plan. I loved the fact that I have a balcony/patio in my bedroom. And I think its great that the washer/dryer hookups are in the bathroom where they should be (instead of in the kitchen or outside where most other complex's would have them). I do love this place and would like to stay here for a few more years (until my husband and I get a house), but if things don't start changing soon, I'm afraid I may be moving sooner than expected.

Some of these comments are valid. Parking is parking no matter where you are in San Antonio. I don't think that is something that can be managed by anyone but you. Maintenance is slow. I'm still waiting on a new window (ordered, I think, in june...it's november.) and yes, some tenants are quite trashy. I have been picking up after my neighbors since June...come on people, show some responsibility.

The parking isn't that big of an issue..but since I last wrote this message, there have been multiple car break ins. My one neighbor's kids BIKES got stolen just a few weeks ago which they had them on the porch in a dark area where you couldn't really see them. And yes the neighbors can be quite trashy. There is still some trash laying in front of my one neighbor's door that has been sitting there for AT LEAST a month now. I just seen them go into their apartment today after not seeing them for quite some time.
