I moved into the Hollows in 2004 and lived there for about a year. At first it seemed like things were going smoothly, but things soon start to get worse within a short period of time regarding security.
My friends car got tampered with twice and my car was broken into. Another friends car got keyed. The people moving into the complex seemed more and more ghetto. Unfortunately, I suppose they cannot deny anyone rent because it would be discrimination. I believe this is what is making it worse because the crimes that have been committing have been entirely by people living on the complex. I felt very unsafe as I was always getting starred at by the neighbors at the complex across. A gang member seemed to move next door because he always had numerous people over dressed the same.
Scary neighbors, scary neighborhood. Don't get sucked in because of the price and location. There are no gates and no garages for your car, which would be needed. If I had a lot of valuables, I would have definitely gotten an alarm.
Minor complaints include the hot water issues (which the staff does fix immediately, but had to fix over and over), and the little worms that the complex is infested with. I just sprayed 'em, but they are annoying.
I moved to this area because of the location to the highway and my job along with the price. If you don't have any valueables, own a piece of crap car, and aren't scared for your safety, this place could be for you.
