Very Unpleasant Experience From: tommybohama Date posted: 1/4/2007 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006 2 responses   I lived here for only six months and am quite glad that I left. The main reason I moved here was the price. It was the most affordable apartment around. However, you really do "Get what you pay for" here. The management is totally shoddy and completely rude. When I moved in I did a check in sheet and noted that the carpet was in bad shape. When I moved out, my roommate happened to throw it away and I asked if the office had a copy and they said that they threw it away. The carpet was in the same shape when I left and they charged me $1000 to replace it. The manager told me that the capet was worth that much and that we were in the third year of a five year warranty and that the installer remembered putting it in. Wow, First, I don't see how a carpet can even have a real warranty and second, why would I pay the full price after three years' So, I then said that I would have to get an attorney because the situation was ridiculous, and the lady hung up on me. Needless to say, I was had by this complex and it is now on my credit report and not my renters history. The neighborhood is decent, but the area is known for vehicle break-ins. My car was broken into twice in six months and I don;t even have a nice car. They broke my window both times even though I left it unlocked the second time and there was no stereo in it. The maintenance men are very unprofessional, the landscaping comes too early on weekends, the facilities are crappy, the laundry situation is a joke, and they have a gigantic porno mirror in the kitchen. This is a very low end apartment and I definitely do not recommend it.
