I read someone's review on how they moved out and later charged them for carpet and cleaning. They never showed for the walk through, I waited for an hour that day we were scheduled, left several messages, and then dropped key in drop slot. One month later they sent a $800 claim to a credit collection for ruined carpet. They never contacted me, and when I tried to discuss the charges they would not assist me, instead said it was out of their hands and that a stray cat was found in the apartment after I moved out and I was still responsible for that damage somehow. I hired a steam carpet company to clean it before I left, the carpet was better then when I moved in. Like I said, they didn't come to the walk through and even a month later, after my knowledge to the alleged stained carpets, I wanted evidence, pictures or to come see the carpet,they claimed it was too late that they had been cleaned.
Aside from all this boyfriend at the time jeep was broken into twice. I was even mugged once going up my stairs. I notified the apartment and there response was "well you know we are not a gated community." I was hoping they could notify and warn other tenants, but nothing. I even contacted the apartment company, Hartford, I called, wrote letters and emails, they never contacted me back or concerned to things going on at these apartments.
Also, I lived on second floor, if it rained the bottom would flood, there was no where to get out, except through mud and puddles. Our unit was somehow unleveled (#614) so the water just settled there. Even days after still muddy mess, I would ask for wooden slats to be put down, never did assist us. I had fallen and slipped several times.
