The Huebner Oaks (Applegate) Is Awful! From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/26/2003 Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2003   Problems began at this residence before I even moved in. I found out just days before that they had given me the wrong floorplan and did not have the right one available to move into for several months! There was no hot water half the time I lived there, and when there was hot water the water pipes in the wall made an awful clanking noise well into the wee hours of the night. There was a severe bug problem and even rats!!! Mold overgrowth was disgusting. My airconditioner also went out twice. Once in the middle of summer and it took maintenance over 3 days to fix it because it was not considered an emergency. In South Texas an AC going out in the summer is an emergency! My roommate and I couldnt even sleep in the place because it was too hot. There was a new manager ever few months. I guess that they couldnt stand being there either. Bottom line...this place isnt worth half the rent they charge!
