Great, if you're deaf. From: CXK83 Date posted: 3/5/2006 Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2006 1 response   My girlfriend and I moved in here August '05. We were pleased with the spacious apartment. Iron Horse wasnt our first choice, we had looked EVERYWHERE, we were running out of time and decided to look here. Even though we had heard terrible things, we couldnt see why. The grounds looked decent, the apartments looked like they were in fair shape. We moved in, everything was fine for about the first week. We had 2 friends over to show them the place on a Friday night. As we were leaving around 9:30 to go out, a cop car pulls up saying they got a report of a party going on in our apartment. We were extremely confused since it just was just us (4 people), sitting in the living room, talking and playing a video game. The walls here are like paper. We had nothing but trouble from our neighbors, they'd bang on our wall, which drives me to complete rage to hear some a**hole banging on my wall instead of having the respect to come and ask me to turn it down. Now, I understand we live in a multi family dwelling and need to respect others with a low amount of noise. As time went on, they complained, pounded and were just idiots about the situation. We have a small surround sound system, the subwoofer is as low as it can get. Last night we had another encounter with the new tenants, a lovely 5 pounds of fist slamming into our wall. Once again, I was baffled as to how they can even hear what we were watching, it was so low we could easily talk over it. We brought them over to let them hear how loud it actually was, and they woman couldnt barely hear it. It just proves the sound proofing between apartments are terrible here. We've had trouble from both sides, and have heard one of our neighbors music so loud that we can make out the lyrics and exactly what song it is. I thought he was just blaring it, now I'm starting to think it really wasnt THAT loud, the walls just suck. Other than that, its been fair, slow reaction to most mantenance calls, or just not getting it done at all. Parking is fine, I can give them that. I'm so ready to move to a home.
