An awful living experience

I lived at Kenton Apartments a year ago. While the property superficially seemed like a nice place to live when I went to visit, the reality was much different. The office staff was very rude. My microwave was broken for weeks and their only response was that they had a lot of other service calls to take care of, to use the stove in the meantime. Finally, nearly 3 weeks later, my microwave was changed. The garbage dumpster nearest to my apartment was always overflowing, leaving the trash to blow around. The exterior grounds we also not well maintained, esp in the back part of the development where I lived. (Don't be fooled by touring the area and pool close to the office, check out the area that you actually will be living in) Additionally, the "gym" had one bike (of four) that actually worked and a treadmill with a missing key. The office was similarily uninterested in fixing the machines there. The people next door also had continous fights, including a scene with the lady of the house tossing her husband's stuff out in the front lawn. Although, I know that its not the apartment's fault that they were unlucky and rented out to troubled people, the second time that constable came out to evict them should have been a clue. I chose to live here because it was convenient to the base while I was looking for a house to buy. Kenton seemed to be the right mix of size, proximity and cost but I caution you not to make the same mistake I made.
