worst but no one cares what you do, saves you money From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/15/2007 Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006   I moved in august of 2003 and stayed wiht la jolla till september of 06, Yes alot of ---- happened to that place. The gate did not work till sept. 06 when I finally moved out. I lived in 3 buildings and had my car broken into twice, my bestfriend/ roommate had his broken into once. I admit the reason we stayed was because we had privacy but then again we were guys, Our friend whos a female that moved in there at the same time we did used to have her panties stolen. ive had clothes stolen and heard from other females that their panties were also stolen from the laundry room. I admit i was loud and we threw alot of parties with never any complaints, but when we expected to get help from the management company we didnt get any. Sometime in august of 06 we were out of power for almost 32 hours. It is pretty ghetto but sometimes i miss the place for the fact that it wasnt as uptight about things around. they were more concerned in the landscaping. Ive had a bbq pit stolen from my front door as well. When i told them i was moving because i couldnt find an justification in my rent going up by 80 bucks. The manager at the time told me becase they are in a prime location and they are improving the buildings. There was no way i was going to pay more to stay there. The fact that i was there for so long and they were treating me like a i was nothing. I moved out and then was charge for rent and electricity for a month after i moved out. My friends are glad i moved out... but also mad that i dont throw parties any more.
