Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008

I lived at La Jolla Apartments from 2007-2008. I never had a problem with noise, except once when there was a party going on next door. I moved here for my first year of college. It's a pretty decent size for a good price. And the electric bill is only like $30, with everything else paid (cable came with the unit, but not internet -- standard expectation though). I think they need to focus on updating the units. My apartment was clean when I went in, and when I left, I had it spotless. There was a stain though that Miguel (leasing agent) said would knock twenty off the deposit return, but gave a hint that Windex takes it out. It did too, so he gave it all a perfect rating. When you first get the apartment, you don't pay for the first or second month electricity so you'll have to pay that back at some point in the lease, or just have it deducted from the deposit. The bedroom light though is something that needs heavy attention. It's really dim, just to let you know. My girlfriend's car got broken into also, and I think it's fair to state that in a review. Nothing got stolen although she had a nice faceplate. It's really a good location if attending UTSA. I never had a problem with the office staff, in fact they were awesome. Pools were always clean. I did however put in two requests to fix my refrigerator. It was leaking water internally, but I took a stab at it and fixed it myself. They did tell me that it had gotten fixed but nothing was moved in the fridge so I knew it wasa lie.

Overall, I was satisfied with what I got out of the apartment. It's not top of the line but it did serve me well. The parking is scarce at night but there's a side street to park on.

I moved out to Hill Country Place, where low and behold is full of college only students, so I might have made the mistake there lol, but I'd honestly recommend living here, as it's really affordable, and quiet.
