Several reasons not to move in. When me and my Girlfriend came to look at available Apt. and the one we where getting wasnt available so they showed us a model apt. We made plans to move in and on that day we arrived and the caroet wasnt new like they said, a drawer was missing in the kitchen, The A/C Unit had the auto shut off switch wires cut and tapped over, Which this is to prevent gas from leaking into the apartment if the cover falls off. The A/C Unit was not up to code. The Floor had a huge Crack in it that shifted and made loud thud noises when you would walk through the bedroom. The paint on the walls was done poorly, they painted over the Light and wall sockets, the vents on the A/C, the smoke detector and was peeling from the walls. After politely requesting the repairs to be done, they never did them except the crack in the foundation. I asked them every month for the missing drawer and to fix the A/C and they never did it. Also the A/C duct had holes in and all the cool air went into the Utility closet. I had to fix it myself.
Then When we moved out they said we would get half our deposits back. olus half the deposit for the pet we had. We have yet to get it and we moved out in August 30th.
They have given us no details as to why.
They then said that we woul;d be charged for the carpet because they had to change it, despite the fact that we shampood it and cleaned it and never spilled anything on it. Plus they where going to change it anyways since they didnt do it before we moved in like they said.
Management had a " we dont care " attitude. Noise from other apartments was loud and way above tolerable noise levels all hours of the night. Management did nothing, had to call the cops because other people where popping fireworks at 4 in the morning. Reported nois several times but nothing. People beneath my apt. had three loud dogs that barked all day and most of the night, management did nothing.
Was late by a few days on rent and they reported it to the credit agancy, also told new apartment complex i am in now that i was late which raised my deposit.
Could hear people having sex next door because walls are so thin.
Never enough parking, had to park outside the apartments on several occasions. Never cleane dthe pool, had plastic and almost no chlorine in water.
Was supposed to be gated but gates where broken and always open.
If you read this far then good, i want everyone to know that this place, La Jolla at 10707 IH 10 West next to Huebner Rd, is a Gheto. The management is irresponsible and incompetent.
This is by far the worst place ever. They try to look good from the street but once you get in, you know it horrible.
Oh, and there laundry facility is a joke. They make you pay $5 for a card, then you put $20 on the card and its gone in no time. The Laundry machines are super small but cost $150 to wash and $175 to dry. You spend $12 on one laundry night. thats more a month than buying one and paying it off.
Also, was told apartment would have washer and drier connections. It did not, It showed on the floor plans. WHen i asked what the deal was, they said that it was a type o and shouldnt be there.
Dont be fooled by the outside appearance or the picture, they took pictures just right to leave out the messed up security gate or the dirty pool or the bad parking at night time.
SCAMMERS DISHONEST INCOMPETENT UNTRUSTWORTHY, DONT RENT HERE. BuLYzGcKAVo8MQPlcXJq

Ya dumb AZZ ya get what you pay for. You knew this was a dump before you ever moved in. Why did you move in when you saw the place was in disaray. Its an old dump off IH10- you should have known better- but tell yourself why did you move in the first place, cause it was cheap rent. get a grip you get what you pay for.

I agree with the fist person, It seems that only the negative comments land on here. I am a resident here and I am happy living here and so are my neighbors, You should check out more in detail the places you move into budy, and if you expect to get VIP treatment pay for it! otherwise settle for what you can afford, but keep in mind, that there's always a down side. Oh and I think that you might have moved into one of those housing properties, that are affordable and look so nice and have all these commodities, but what most don't know is that you have to be considered low income based in order for you to qualify... it looks so much better but in reality you live off the government and our taxes!...but go ahead and feel better.. I guess they are "legitimate"...lol.. oh and what's up with all the psychoanalysis BS DR. Freud!.. you sound sick!

Well, you guys who think you get what you paid for are the chumps. I am paying $500 a month and am getting a bigger apartment with working security gates, has a game room, work out room and club house. Its also in the thousand oaks area which is alot nier than by La Jolla. Also, the walls arent paper thing, neighbors are reasonably quiet and things get fixed when there broken.
And I didnt expect VIP treatment at La Jolla, I expected what they promised, nothing more, nothing less.
Wait till you move out and they dont give you your deposit back or charge you for bogus items. You set your aims low and expect less from people and let them walk over you, so thats what you guys get because thats what you settle for. I almost feel bad for you.
I now live at Summit of Thousand Oaks and have recieved every thing they said, they also replaced the entire leaky A/C system which drenched water all over the apartment.
So as for your " only the bad comments get here" idea, your wrong. But I dont need to tell you, you will experience it for yourself when you move out.
Oh, and by the way, La Jolla is having Financial problems, thats why they arent giving back deposits, because they just dont have the money. I called corperate on this issue.
So again, you too know nothing about what you are talking about, and its sounds like your used to getto living and only expect as much for your money. I guess your used to people walking all over you. well your turns comming when you move out:)
As for me, I moved up for less, and im great, hopefully you will learn from my mistake and aim high next time, and i dont mean a joint:)

I completely agree with your response,I once lived in La Jolla, and let me tell you..it was no piece of jewel..lol..now i know that wasnt funny...my partner and i lived on 2nd floor, it was the pits.. ...no privacy,no security, not funny but u could here sex going on at ur neighbors..left after 6 months..of torture.the main reason, is pretty scary..our apartment was haunted..u could here gun shots in our living rm area..our 2nd bedroom we were unable to sleep there, u could sense and feel u were being watched..cold spots in that rm..our dog would not sleep in there,he would stand outside the doorway and bark hystarically as if someone was in there..it got to the point where my parents took the dog back to their place..dark human form apparitions would wonder the apt.at night.Until one night we were attacked by wat was in there, we could not take it anymore..we got to the point where we had to drive to my parents out of town just to get some sleep..our church priest, advised us to leave as soon as possible, after several encounters with the unknown.. we were drained..no one should have to live that kind of way..That was our experience..we our now happily living in our new home across town, and enjoying peace, and tranquility..OUR ADVISE TO NEW RESIDENTS, CHECK LISTINGS MAKE SURE THAT YOU WILL BE WILLING TO SACRAFICE,FOR THE PRICE AND IF REALLY IT IS WORTH, SECURITY AND PEACE OF MIND.UNTIL THEN,BLESS YOU ALL,WHO LIVE OR HAVE LIVED IN LA JOLLA..BE SAFE..
