I've lived at La Mirage for 10 months now. We have had some minor issues with them, but the staff is super friendly and willing to help. Turn around time sometimes is a few days, lately it's been same day or next day. The hot tub has worked the few times i've used it. The gates tend to stay operational. I've never found any major bugs in my apartment (we had some ants come in from outside, but that was only for a few days, then they just disappeared). We live on the second floor, and i've never had any issues with the neighbors (next door or upstairs). The walls are somewhat thin, but nothing horrible. If the neighbors are talking loud outside you can hear them. The major source of noise really comes from the ambulances that drive by, since we are right next to the medical center. Most nights it's quiet, but some nights you can hear 4 or 5 of them. One of the things i don't like too much about it is that the drainage system for the roads isn't the best. The whole complex is on an incline, which means that if you live toward the bottom, lots of water will accumulate right were you parked your car, making it virtually impossible for you to get in or out of your car without getting completely soaked, but that happened during the really, really rainy season where some of SA was flooding, so it could have been way worse.
Overall i like living here. I feel it's affordable on a college student's budget, yet safe enough that I can arrive at 2 am and not worry about my safety. I like that even if there is a problem the staff will try to fix it and be positive about it. There are several families living here, so it makes for a nice environment. There is enough parking that my only complain that "someone took my favorite spot". I think I've only NOT found parking infront of my building just once. I would definitely recommend it.
