I have lived here at Landera almost 4 years and it is a great value and great location. I have lived in both a one and two bedroom and you get great space for the money. The leasing office personnel and maintenance staff are great. Anytime that I have put in a work order it has almost always been done by the next day. They know you by name and treat you with respect. Believe me when we first moved to San Antonio 5 years ago the first complex we lived up in Stone Oak was soooo overpriced and once you moved in the leasing staff treated you like dirt.
As mentioned in earlier posts-yes, airplanes do fly overhead but it's not constant and not disruptive. The way some of these people write you would think that the building is shaking because the planes are so close-it's nothing close to that.
Like any other complex, usually the only problems are from the people that move in that don't have manners-like picking up after their dog or their own litter. I have had neighbors come and go, good and not-so-good, none of them were "horror" stories. There are actually quite a few tenants who have been here many years and we are good people who look out for each other and our "home".
I would definately recommend Landera - and having been an apartment dweller for over 25 years of my life I have alot to base my opinion on! Best Wishes to you in your search for a new home!

I lived there for 6 years and oddly enough had my doorbell stolen. We were informed once of an attempted break in (not my apartment) -- it was at least nice that Landera posted notices on EVERYONE's door about that so we were aware. Always had problems with loud people partying all night and drunken louts that Landera never kicked out. Also problems with dog poop everywhere, even by people's windows and by stairs and the pool -- high foot traffic areas. Had a guy with his 2 dogs in the pool once, gross. Anyway, overall liked the place, great maintenence (this was qith Equity and James was he maint guy) and ok staff, they updated my appliances, changed the pool furniture 3 times, always looked nice, painted the buildings, reinforced against rats (saw one rat downstairs from me once and it was going after the garbage the neighbors left out which is why you don't leave garbage out), and also redid the parking lot once and also updated all the washers and dryers in the laundry rooms. I did hear of people getting their clothing stolen once, though.
