When seeing these apartments from afar, they are nice. The place looks like a big park, with a bunch of big trees everywhere.
But don?t be fooled! These apartments have walls thinnner than paper. In my bathroom, sounds of my neighbors talking (or singing in the shower) and them urinating could be heard as if they were right in front of me! Also, me or my neighbor could have the television or radio barely even loud, and the noise would echo throughout the building. Sometimes I would hear people?s televisions/radios as if they were right in my living room.
Also, I would not recommend anyone live on the second floor in between two other apartments. These apartments were poorly built. When the neighbor upstairs walked across his living room, the ceiling made very loud, annoying squeaking noises.
The maintenance people and managment were ok. I only have one big complaint about the maintenance personnel-- they leave notes stating that they have fixed your problem, but really haven?t fixed anything. Usually they had to be hounded in order to get things done.
One thing that is good about these apartments is that the one-bedrooms have washer and dryer connections. Nonetheless, they are still very overpriced for what you have to put up with. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have lived at Las Cimas for about 6 months now. They give the impression of being quiet. Beware, however; you can hear everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) your neighbors are doing, saying, even where they are walking. The floors have NO soundproofing. The owners are apparently penny-pinchers, unwilling to make any real investments into improving the quaility of the buildings. Soundproofing the floors is a cheap and easy improvement, yet they won't even consider it. This (among other problems, like old, crappy hot water heaters) is a shame, because this place could be so nice with a little effort and investment from the owners. Unfortunately, things aren't being taken care of, and eventually all the decent tenants will move out. Concluding, unless you can sleep like the dead, tolerate noise, and like broken appliances, don't move to Las Cimas. |
