While this isn't a really high scale apartment, it's not that bad either.
The worst things I've seen in the 3 months I've been here so far are:
The laundry rooms were vandalized and haven't been fixed yet
The front gate was run into and badly damaged
Other than that, I can't really complain about much. My garbage disposal was jammed up when I first moved in and it took two mentionings to the management, but it got done fast after the second time. I can hear my neighbors' front doors and one neighbor's shower, but only when I'm also in the bathroom. I'm don't care about that so much because I understand that it's an apartment, the walls aren't going to be all that thick, especially in San Antonio.
The management knows me by name even though I only go to the office once a month.
The gates were getting closed regularly until it got broken.
There really isn't "bad" parking. There are good spots which get taken pretty quick sometimes, but there are always spots open not even 15 ft. away from the good ones.
Everything I've seen is well lit.
I feel that my car is relatively safe because there are other "nicer" cars, but I still keep an eye on my car.
The maintenance is regularly working on the grounds keeping them trim and clean.
Overall, I say that this is a good place to live if you don't want to pay a whole lot of money.
