Leaving when the lease is up

I have a had a lot of problems with maintenance in my apartment. These are old apartments, and the ground is shifting so nothing is exactly square. I think pipes break from the strain, but I'm not sure. Everything is old, including the cabinets, which are warped in my apartment, and the drawer faces fall off. I have had problems with water heaters, air conditioners, leaks of several types (sinks, windows, other apartments) I am sure the maintenance crew isn't up to par, but the office people DO NOT help. You usually have to request something several times, and have the crew come in several times before something is fixed. Some simple problems are fixed quickly, and others simply will never be fixed. Rent is a little bit high, and they raise it every time your lease is up, but I wouldn't feel cheated if I got what I was paying for. The location isn't that bad, as far as I can tell. I don't see much of the parking problems others have complained about, or problems with ghettoish people. Sometimes you get loud obnoxious neighbors, sometimes not. Its that way with any apartment. Our neighbors seem to only stay for a month or two anyway. Right now the neighbors are very nice. I would warn perspective renters to look somewhere else and only come to Lincoln Green as a last resort.
