I lived here for four years I guess it is my luck but i have no complaints. Before moving I scoped out the area, neighbors of the choices of aparments I was given. All my maintenance request were fullfilled some may have taken longer. But honestly nothing drastic or unstatisfying. I feel for the couple of the roof collapsing but honestly that can happen anywhere. I have friend who lives in nicer and more expensive apartment and have had similar stories so it can happen anywhere. If at all uphappy, Move. Or transfer to another apartment. Why go through all the hastle. The apartment complex cannot keep an eye on everyone turn in someone who does not pick up after their pet. I did and they gave them a fine. I am not an employee or insider tring to give a good review. I am a satisfied tenant.

Your right you are very very lucky - you are the type of person who buys a lottery ticket and then wins the lottery. I have outstanding maintenance items that are over three months old and one over a year and a half. I have called so many times and always get a song and a dance tune from them. The main problem is the man that owns the complex does not like to spend money to ensure you have appliances that work and are fixed properly if they can still be repaired as most of the appliances are over twenty years old and can't be repaired anymore. He also does not care if you have a nice place to come home to all he cares about is you paying your rent and yes I pay mine every month and early - I have never been late! I have reported people numerous times on not picking up dog poop but it does not seem to stop them so either they are not fining them or the fine is not high enough to deter them from neglecting their responsibility. According to Code Compliance if they do not pick it up then it is the apartment complex's responsibility to pick it up which they don't do unless you have code compliance come out and tell them to do it.
You are right roof problems can occur anyplace but the bad thing here is that when you tell them about the leaks many times (I have a leak problem for over a year) and they don't fix it then it is their fault and poor management not caring about their tenants.

Here is the trick if you have time go to the front and show up and tell them about your problems with the reoccuring maintenance issues. Explain to them all the call logs and or copies of the maintenance issues you have stressed and how they are not complete. Make them a list and have them give you a copy with whoever you gave it to signatures so you have proof you did turn it in and they did receive it. Then tell them you have pictures of the damage or mold from the leaks and that you have a friend who is a lawyer but you really do not want to have to take that step because it is just not where you want to go you just want your things fix. Plus add how it could be hazardous to your health (Black mold or any mold)and that the building code compliances are definetly not up to standards and can be reported to the better business bureau. I learn this from an apartment complex that I lived for before here.

I have to say, and be honest. When we first moved into Lincoln Green. We were extremely satisifed. Things were nice. I loved it there. But slowly things changed. Personnel in the office was never the same people. Requests stop being fufilled. Little things, then break-ins started. I lived there for about 2 1/2 years and for about the 1st year. I have to admit, I loved caling Lincoln Green home. I dont know hwo things got out of control there. But it did, and when it did. We were out the door!

Excuse-my-broken-spacebar....
I-have-one-very-critical-observation.....why-would-anyone-who-is-so-delighted-with-where-they-are-living-bother-to-get-online-to-post...nevermind-just-read-...all-of-the-negative-reports-on-this-property??
Why-would-you-even-bother?....if-you-are-so-happy-and-things-are-humming-along...I-can't-believe-that-it-would-even-occur-to-you-to-"check-out"-the-reviews.....all-negative...on-this-rat-hole.
Another-paid-off-hireling-in-the-office,no-doubt.
Give-us-a-break...we-aren't-stupid
Gee...and-here-we-are-a-year-later-and-are-the-burnt-out-apartments-finished-yet????....no...and-why-is-that???...same-cheesy-incompetent-management/ownership...same-attitude-towards-maintenance..
Stay-away-from-this-awful-place.

I lived there for 5 years and it did get progressively worse. Honestly, when you hear from people "if you don't like it move..." well it is expensive to move. Period. The person writing about the leaks is dead on center. There were leaks all over that complex-my apartment flooded everytime it rained heavily, I moved into another unit because of that and had water running in through the glass windows, my fridge broke it took them 3 months and 6 repairs for them to figure out they needed to order a new one. Basically, what the first commentator said on this page about the owner being a cheapo is correct. I think his name is Singh or something like that. I think if someone called the city authorities-not sure which one they would come to investigate and determine that the buildings were not fit to live in. They need to bulldoze.

The reason I commented on how I was ok with where I live I am a type who shines a little positivity on a negative situation. I mean everyone can say something bad but never bring out the good things in any person, situation or thing or life in general. I am not asking for everyone else to be that way I am just giving my positive feed back. So I am the type to do so. :) As for moving yes it is expensive to move but isn't it more expensive to stay in a bad situation? There are alot of places around or better that have $199 move in specials and other specials. So that can help with one month rent and the moving. Plus moving companies charge from $150 on up for two hours. So that is less than one month's rent. Moving is a chore but if you have leaks and your things are getting damage that can be quite expensive too. If you know they are not doing anything yeah it should not make you move but if you get the same answers you stay? I had a bad situation with another complex so this place is alot better for me. I know there is alot of negative feed back but some do not take the time to give the positive. That was my good deed for the day. Its not putting people down it is just explaining my experience here at LG. I have the right to give my positive. If I had a negative comment I would but I dont so that is just me. Have a good day!!
