I have lived in the Lincoln Green for 3 years and it was the worst experience of my life!!! My 2 year old and I lost everthing we ever owned within 30 minutes!!! All because of faulty wiring something that should of been pervented from what the fire department, news cast and newspapers say.Also this wasn't onlyfire 4 months before mine another unit and families went through the same with the same cause! I was lefted with ashes and NO HELP from complex or owners!!! Just a key to a empty apartment the next day!!! They knew and saw that me and my 2 year old walked out from the fire with no shoes or jakets that morning! Just with the clothes on our back from what we fell asleep with the night before!!! I think about whatIbeen through everyday and hurt from the fire of March 2008!!! I never even got my deposit or pet deposit back! I no longer live there and can't beleive this happen at the Lincoln Green in Castle Hills.

I feel sorry for this former tenant as what happened to her is horrible. Unless she can prove fault of the complex to properly maintain the unit she has no leg to stand on so it falls back to her. I recommend that she and others get rental insurance as this is the only way you can protect yourself against these type of horrible events - i am really glad she and her baby got out unharmed that is the most important thing. As she said other apartments had the same problem just months before and that should signal to the owner and the apartment manager they should do inspections of the wiring in other units. If the owner an Indian (From India) and the apartment manager and complex staff really cared about their tenants and their safety, well being, and a place that you could enjoy living in they would have checked other apartments for the same problem. The real problem is that they really don't care if you live in an unsafe apartment and an apartment complex with major health issues that are reported to them numerous times. They say they will take care of the problems but never do as the owner loves money instead of people so he will not spend a cent to correct or fix the problems. The owner's attitude about not caring transfers down to the complex staff so they don't care either. The only time they seem to care is when they see a code compliance officer on the grounds and talking to a tenant - you would be amazed how quick they show up when they see you talking to the code compliance officer ( code compliance phone #311 yes it is only three numbers - similiar to 911) - the reason why they do show up so quickly is to rebuff what you are telling the code compliance officer. I don't know if it will give you any satisfaction but Lincoln Green is losing tenants left and right as they are learning that the owner and the complex staff do not care about the tenants and giving them a safe, healthy, and nice place to live with appliances that work and don't take three to six months to fix or replace. It is horrible you had to go thru this where you loss your belonging as that is a real hardship on you but I am happy for you and your baby that you got out unharmed.

It sounds like you do know how the Lincoln Green works!!! And yes i can prove about the faulty wiring it's on the fire report. It also state's how the fire started "electrical shortage in the attic". I thought it would be good complex cause of it being in Castle Hills! I WAS SO WRONG!!!!!!!!! Thank you for your kind and friendly statement.

I know what you went through, these apartments suck! I was also in that same fire. These people are a bunch of F%%%%in cowards, and do not give a $hit about their tenants. I broke the lease to get out of this hell hole. The people on the staff are so stupid.......stupid is a compliment to them. Seriously, these apartments should be knocked down. I have passed by their recently and they still can't fix up this place. Well, good luck to you.....hope you are doing better.
