It wasn't so bad when we were in our two bedroom. Sure the water would be turned of at least once a month, often without notice. (When we complained we'd be told "Oh we sent out the notcie"... yeah and somehow I didn't get one on my door, or the notice comes at like 8 in the morning, how am I supposed to set aside some water when I don't find out it's going off until it's too late' We finally started keeping extra water in bottles in the pantry, just in case.) We had lots of noise, and it took lots of complaining before anything was done. But then we moved into a one bedroom after losing a roommate. The rug is stained and ripped. There's water damage in the bathroom. There were a ton of cockroaches, luckily those are gone because we keep pretty clean. There is a ton of noise, the water still goes off. The whole gate thing is a fiasco. We all had to resubmit our info a while back because they were going to make the system work. Well, we just had to redo it again. And in the paperwork was a little clause saying we would be responsible for any damage to the complex, apparently even if it isn't our fault. The gates were supposed to start being clsed 24/7 Fed. 1st, I havne't seen them shut once, but that's just as well since we don't have gate cards to open them with!
Maintance is horrible. The other day I noticed I could feel cold air coming in from around my outlet, I'm sure that's helping our energy bill stay nice and low. I'm not mentioning it, though, because the idea of the maintance guys working with electricity in my apartment scares me. Our neighbors leave all their trash in the parking lot, and are pretty generally rude with no concept of quiet time and people possibly needing to sleep. I can not WAIT until our lease is up.
