At first I thought this was a decent little complex, not a bad price, the location was okay. That changed after I signed the lease and started to move in: The apartment looked as if it had not been fully cleaned before I moved in, there was visibly hair on the floor. I lay down on the floor with my cat, to play, and the carpet smelled like mildewed clothes. I had to call maintenance to repair a couple things so I could finish unpacking. The water hoses to my washer were hooked up backwards (hot to cold) and I had 3 light switches that seemed to be for decoration only. A few days (maybe a week) after I moved in, a maintenance man tried to enter my apartment, unauthorized. When I met him at the door he stammered that he did not know anyone had moved in. (Since he was the one who had made my door key, and had been the one to repair things when I first moved in, I did not believe him.) There were many times I would come home to find that stuff (not things my cat could have moved) had been moved around, letting me know that someone had been in my apartment while I was at work. When I voiced concerns to the office, they blew it off and acted like it was no big deal. A repair was needed due to a faulty AC unit and that took me 3 phone calls, a missed day at work, and 4 visits by 5 different maintenance workers before the repair (which took 30 minutes once they started) was complete. There were times it sounded like there were rats in the walls. I was awoken many times between 12:30 and 3:30 am (during the week) by loud music from neighbors partying in the parking lot with their car stereos thumping. (Again, the office acted like I had no right to complain.)
Were I not in such a bind at the time I moved in, needing a place in a hurry and not wanting to pay too much, I would have never taken the apartment. Also, they take forever to return deposits and pet deposits, as forwarding addresses seem to keep getting "misplaced".

I can tell you this. a couple that lived there for 10 years got fed up and moved out. LV only steamed cleaned the carpet. If I where you, I would take a piece of that carpet and have it analyzed. You would be shocked to know what kind of living conditions your surrounded in.
