I lived at the Lodge at Shavano park for 4 years. I liked my apartment unit, the location, and community but the past year I became VERY ANNOYED with the management and ------ that worked there. A few examples...
1)My lease expired in JAN. I asked for a 6 month renewal, they said they would only do 7. Not good for me as I needed to move out at a certain time. Thus, they forced me to month-to-month for an extra $100 a month. Then in April, seemingly unaware of the situation I told them I was in, THEN they wanted to offer a 6month lease. Not how you should treat a tennant of several years
2)Usually takes 2 or 3 calls to get someone to come fix anything, and as someone else stated, they make a mess in the process and leave trash/old parts around when they leave. One day the sprinkler from outside leaked in my apt, all they did was spray moisture powder on the stain, but never cleaned up the stain, then said I was the messy one for having that stain.
3)The office is full of airheads. I'd go pay my rent, they would charge the credit card wrong, then send me a notice saying I was delinquent X amount of dollars and they would charge me late fees-all because they messed up.
4)Service is rude-I'd walk toward the office to pick up a package and the girl says they're almost closed and I'd have to come back the next day. Very rude. They also wanted to give away my parking spot to a new tennant just because it was convienent for them. If the person was handicapped, I'd accomidate, but that wasn't the case. Also told them half-a-dozen times my neighbors were playing loud music after midnight, they never dealt with it properly.

For the amount of money the Lodge charges, I'd expect more. Maybe more attention to customer service and less attention to weekend ice cream socials and -------- like that.

There are many other communities in the area that are just as nice and more affordable, I think you guys should consider those places and NOT the Lodge at Shavano Park
