Ever since the new management took over, this place has quickly fallen apart. I blame the office staff and the property manager- who is never available to speak with and who does not return calls. I had placed a repair order for the air conditioner unit above the shower. The office staff said it would be taken care of within 48 hours. Well I waited 72 hours and the problem was not fixed. I went in and placed a second order for the same issue, and of course they had no record of my first request (staff lack communication skills!) This time the staff member said the order would be filled within 48 hours. I waited another 72 hours- problem was still not fixed. By now I am pissed off, I go in after work and speak to a third staff member named ---, he says they will fix it by the next day. What do you think happened' Right, it was not fixed. It took them another 72 hours for someone to come in and fix the problem. When I arrived home I noticed that my work order was on my kitchen table signed off by the repair person. I read it over and it said they were in my apartment for 45 minutes, and under the notes section written by --- it said "Rust from A/C keeps complaining" I became furious!! How dare he write that in the notes'' Had they fixed the problem when I first brought it to their attention I wouldn't need to come in on 3 different occasions to place the same repair order!! This is so unprofessional, I have never had to deal with such incompetent people in my life. It is their job to take care of the property and its paying tenants, I don't need to be referred to as keeps complaining, do your job and I won't have to complain. The worst part of it is the problem was not fixed, we still have the AC leaking and it is staining the tub from the rust water. I have taken pictures and will submit them to staff and they will have to clean the rust out themselves. Also, today we were notified by a piece of paper that they are repaving the parking spots. Parking is horrible, we had to park two buildings away! What kind of a notice is one day' How about telling us as soon as you know that you will be inconveniencing tenants' No, that actually would be the smart thing to do, which the staff has no comprehension of. Another instance of unprofessionalism is when we went to inquire about possibly renewing our lease. We came before the 60 day notice which was required by the old property. The staff said that the property manager was busy, but that she would call us to give us the price. Needless to say we never heard from her. We went the next day and asked again, same answer- she will call you today. We came at the end of the same day and told her- we need to know ASAP before we hit the 60 day mark. She looked in our file and voila! the property manager had scribbled some figure in and it was close to $100 more than the rent we already pay even with my preffered employee discount of 3% !! The property manager didn't even have the courtesy to pick up her phone to call us and notify us that she had figures ready!!!These people don't care about releasing, they want everyone to leave so they can hike up the prices!! The other day a new tenant in our building was advising us that her apartment and the apartments on the 2nd and 3rd floor all had black mold!! This is hazardous, and we can't wait to get heck out of here. Don't move here or you will be sorry!!! The groundspeople are great people, they always say hi to me whenever I see them on the property. They are the only great thing about this property everyone else who works here should definetly consider changing professions! Preferrably one that does not require them to work with people!
Don't move here!

I hear you. I lived in two different apartments there and BOTH had A/C problems. My one-bedroom A/C would either refuse to start or refuse to shut off, I'd have to keep trying over and over again either way. Then, and this was the best part, water would pour from the A/C vent in the bathroom. No, not the A/C drainage pipe over the tub, the actual A/C VENT in the bathroom. The A/C was so inefficient, keeping it at 78 one August, my electricity bill was $180 - for a 750 square foot one bedroom. In the 2-bedroom, my girlfriend and I would have to keep the A/C at 70 or below to feel anything besides stifling heat, and yet our electrical bills were around $100. Bizarre. I never blamed the grounds/maintenance staff though. They're wonderful people, I blame the management and office staff for not adequately organizing their resources. You're right though, they never call back anymore. I dealt with the new management, including ---, and they never, ever called back when I called with any issue. Ever. Further, this poster is also correct in that they will tear up the roads, the grounds, invade your apartment, and if you're very lucky you'll know a day ahead of time from a note shoved in your door. We had one mandated fire extinguisher inspection a year under the old management. New management entered at least 6-8 times over less than nine months. They completely ripped up most of the road around my building, with NO warning. People who had garages were trapped, they had no way out. I had a garage too, luckily my car was small enough and the construction guys were helpful enough to help make a path. Any larger car would have been trapped though. The covered parking in front of my building collapsed, and it took them several months to get it back up - and guess what, they charged us for our covered parking the entire time, even though it was roped off! The Lodge used to be one of the best, it's completely ruined now. Get out when you can, cut your losses, you can do far, FAR better elsewhere.

I hear you as well. You are so right. I have mold in my building and every summer my A/C seems to go out right as we are hitting the 90 degree mark and they always act like it is no big deal. The maintenance staff are great, but they can only things when they are told. The notice they give for anything is absolutely ridiculous!!
