I have lived here for 5 years. The Lodge at Shavano Park has marketed/advertised their sports courts on their literature and over the internet for the past couple years. The crazy thing is that we don't have any sports courts! There has been a building/structure up for over a year that we are still not allowed to enter. Some say it is going to have raquetball and basketball, but I guess they stopped constructing it because tenants cannot enter. On an even more frustrating note, the pool has had a very obvious and annoying giant algae ring throughout it all summer. Some people refuse to go in the water because they think that's a sign it doesn't have enough chlorine and could have other things in the water (there has been a lot of publicity this summer about horrible things that grow in pool water.) Finally, both water fountains in the workout facility have been broken for 2 1/2 YEARS! I have asked them to fix the water fountains regularly and they always say that the management company home office refuses to fund it'!' Maybe they just refuse to fund the completion of the sports courts/building as well'

The sports facility has been open for a month now. you can enter as you please, its open 24hrs a day...i asked why we haven't gotten notices of the 'grand opening' and the office ladies excuse was: "they've been soo busy"
