Where to begin'

I know you read a lot of these and think it isn't true.... Believe it. I will now be ending my second year at the Lodge. This has been my personal experience...

*They never fix anything. Their solution to almost everything is to put another coat of paint on it. Mold from the leak they didn't fix upstairs... Paint it. Hole knocked in the wall through the drywall... gob about a pound of spackle on there (rather than a drywall patch) and then paint it. In fact, they pretty much think paint will solve anything. My hot water still does not work properly.

*I've been surprised not to see a cop car or two with flashing lights this week in my part of the complex. This isn't usual. I've never not felt safe taking my trash out after dark before. I leave it on my balcony until the sun is up if it comes down to it.

*They have questionable and unfair billing practices. My room mate from the first apartment I lived in here (a two bedroom) lost most of his deposit even though we went over the place with a fine tooth comb upon moving out. They ALWAYS charge the carpet cleaning fee, by the way. And this is after we had asked if they could please replace the carpet or steam it or something when me moved in. It was badly stained and smelled in places. (we had pictures). It was for those same stains he was charged. Also, I was moving to a one bedroom and asked them no less than three months in advance to show me the one bedroom I was going to move into. I never got to see it. They made me sign a lease sight unseen using the explanation that they don't get the apartment ready to show until the lease is signed and I put money down. So.. they also took until two weeks after our lease was up to have the new apartment ready. They took another $370 out of the security deposit to cover that time, even though they gave me no other choice short of getting storage and living with my parents.

They have also jacked up water and rent amounts recently to offset the cost of the new building they built because the old one burned to the ground. (they also charge about 15% more rent for the new apartments)

Steer clear of this place. It is terrible.... oh, and remember that first apartment I mentioned... One day past the rent due date when the lease was already up, they served up an eviction notice. That is some beautiful customer relations there.

This is only a small sample, trust me. AD2Hw9Wn8Umb3NN1w1jt
