I have recently relocated from San Antonio after living in The Renainssance at Castle Hills for 2-1/2 years. During my stay, the management company changed THREE times. Shortly after the first change, I had the cable company come and install my cable and found out that the management (during the transition) lost the master key to my apartment. They eventually had to make a master from my house key and did not even offer to change the locks. Since I have been gone, (approximately 2 months) I have been informed from the cable company that I owe them money to pay for their access card that I did not return. I returned my cable equipment to the office. Somewhere between the apartment office and the cable company an access card was stolen. To make a long story short, I have been reported to a credit collection agency because you cannot TRUST anyone in the office. Just last week, I received a water bill saying that I owe them for the time from July 27, 2003 to August 27, 2003. My lease expired July 27th! The management team has not even called the water company and asked them to put that apartment back in their name. I asked when I turned in my keys and they said that they would take care of it. As of last week, they still have not done it. My security deposit' It has been almost two months and I have failed to receive it. Initially, I was told that it would take approximately two weeks before I would get a letter stating the amount that I would receive and that I should have my check within 30 days. No check YET! My new roommate received their CHECK within two weeks. THIS is RIDICULOUS! They charge you with a late fee even if your rent is a day late yet they cannot return your money within a reasonable amount of time. Also, I have made several long distance calls to inquire about my refund check, to notify them that they need to change the water bill address, and to express my concern about the access card and they NEVER return my calls!!!!!
