There are better places to live...

Normally I don't write reviews but I really don't appreciate feeling ripped off, so here it is. I am actually pretty easy to please, just do what you say and say what you do. I will be understanding and happy. However that is not entirely the case here at the Manor under the management of Greystar.
Cons:
Living here has been so-so, since Greystar took over they seem to have problems keeping employees, they are either quiting or getting fired.. What does that say about the managers abilities' (same manager as when CWS owned the complex, Greystar took over in March 06) Needless to say this has caused maintenance to fall behind requiring several requests before things are fixed. Then to add insult to injury, those covered parking spaces that look so inviting after the first few nights of not finding a decent place to park'' Apparently the agreement is only for the managements amusement. Several times we have had someone park in our spot, and not once has the car been towed. Not because the car was moved before the tow got there, not because we didn't report the problem, but because the management REFUSES to enforce their own policies. So if you don't have a problem stealing from fellow residents, I wouldn't bother paying for one. Just use someone elses... the odds of getting towed are slim to none. Now, anyone who views the property can see it is an attractive property for the most part. Except on weekends. You see, as a service to the customers, they offer curbside trash pickup m-f from 6am to 10am. But don't bother with those pesky time requests just toss your trash and dog turds on the curb whenever you feel like it. If it happens to be on a weekend they'll just sit there making the property literally looking like... well.. trash. I would make one request that you put your dog turds in with someone elses trash as to hide them from the management. Apparently they don't like to pick up yucky dog turds in a little black bag so they will sit on the curb for days, literally making the property look like.. poo. I'm not sure what the management could do about this (maybe have a chat with the groundskeeper') but I haven't even received so much as a reminder that they don't pick up on the weekends. If water quality is important to you, forget it. Obviously it's not going to kill you but for whatever reason this is the hardest water I have ever experienced, and yes I have lived in SA since 89 so I know we have hard water. With a pur filter to make it drinkable it still leaves white residue on pots and pans. Forget about drinking it if you are used to anything decent. With no filter the water is literally white when you poor a glass.
Pros:
The property does look pretty snazzy especially with all the new renovations. If they could ever finish painting the place it would look real snazzy, but I'm sure that is almost at an end they have already been at it for 6 months! I'm not sure what the previous poster is talking about when it comes to strange people at night. It is a fairly quiet community with friendly residents and the only people I see walking around at night are people walking to there cars, people walking their dogs, and a few people obviously walking for exercise.
Overall:
That's about all I have to say about this community, the rest is pretty much the same as anywhere else. Not the worst place to live in SA but by no means are they exemplary either. Good luck with your decision.
