Shop Around Before Moving In!

I was really happy when I first moved in: There was a brand new management team (Greystar)and I thought the location was ideal (Close to 410, I-10, 1604 and 281).
Then after a couple of days after moving in, my car was vandolized! (I know this can happen anywhere & it was the season for break-ins...but I'm leading to another point) The police officer I contacted said it was more than likely a gang that resided in the gov. housing projects across the street! I wanted to move out right then and there! No one ever told me there were multiple low-income projects right over the fence!!! So, that's basically just my thing that I want everyone to know before moving in - be sure to thoroughly check out the immediate area around these apts--it's creepy--esp. if you're a single girl. It looks nice from Lockhill Selma, but go down Belair and you'll see what I mean! I had my pepperspray in a death grip when walking to and from my car at all times of the day.
I'm sure you won't be a fan of the weekly road construction on Lockhill Selma/West Ave...They have the whole road closed about every month or so.
Parking is horrible. (Hope you're willing to shell out $20/month for a covered parking spot that someone else will park in anyway!)
As for the good...I've never had a problem with the staff, the pool is nice(no hot tub)and they have a decent 24 hr. workout center...but I still can't wait to move out!!!
