I lived @ Marbach Park for 1 year. One positive thing I can say is that there was a security guard there every night making sure his presence was known. I never had to worry about my safety b/c even when I came in late @ night from working the night shift he was walking around checking things out. He even approached me as I sat in my car late one night to make sure that I wasn't a tresspassor and I was more than happy to show him ID to proved that I lived there. Now for the bad...I was charged a "re-dec" fee which was supposed to be for them to clean my apartment before I moved in. When I moved in, however, the conditions were appalling. My apartment reaked of animal urine. There was a pile of swept up dirt on the kitchen floor, empty beer cans in the refrigerator, and globs of what appeared to be engine oil on my porch. Oh, and I forgot to mention, the apartment they gave me was not the size I was supposed to move into. They called me only a couple of days before I was supposed to move to tell me that the other one was not going to be available and that I would either have to wait on it or choose a smaller one. (Impossible if you're already set to move out of your current residence). My apartment was crawling with roaches and it was filthy. The animal urine smellnever went away even though I paid out of my own pocket to have the carpet professionally cleaned 2x. The company who came to clean it told me the carpet and the pad needed to be replaced for the smell to go away. Now, let's talk about my trashy neighbors. My downstairs neighbor lived in the small one bedroom apt w/ her sancho and about 5 kids. Her kids were always vandelizing the cars, swinging the car doors open and hitting mine, while I was sitting in it, and not even apologizing. The mother would stand in the door way in nothing more than a t-shirt with the scent of marijuana wafting out her door. The partying in the parking lot @ 3 am was ridiculous. It sucked! They never addressed my written & verbal complaints about the fact that my apartment was not @ all cleaned before I moved in and they never took care of the roach problem. Imagine my humiliation when I had company over & a huge roach crawls out right next to them. On top of that, wouldn't you hate to constantly have to tell your company "excuse the smell" everytime they come over b/c no one cared enough to changed the carpeting or even shampoo it before you moved in!!
