Not worth the money

The manager does not put money back into the apartment so what you pay for is not what you get. If you walk around the buildings you will see cracking foundations, rotting balconies, and very old paint. The individual apartments may differ, but old carpet, faulty water fixtures, and cracks in the walls are not uncommon. The gates are normally not operating and automobiles are frequently broken into, however; this tends to be kept secret so as not to scare off any potential renters. The apartments are old and not kept up. Oakhampton Place is actually owned by a corporation out of state and the manager gets a yearly bonus if she keeps expenses down, so needed repairs are kept to a minimum. On the plus side, it is in a nice area and close to post. Different management could possibly turn things around and put money back into the apartments for much needed repairs.
