This place has become a nighmare since the new owners took over. From the monochromatic color (beige on beige) color they painted the place to the horror of the landscaping. They hired someone who put in rocks, (more beige), red mulch which will wash away when the first good hard downpours arrive to the mixture of sand/small rocks they are putting in everywhere (more in the beige color range). No underlayment was put in before the rocks/mulch/sand mixture was laid down, so now weeds are popping up thru all of it. They said they were going to build a pond in front of the office and then hired someone who had never built one before. That person created an ugly (with the emphasis on UGLY) waterfall in front of the office that in no way, shape or form resembles a pond. This place is called The OAKS of Marymont, so what did they plant on the entrance drive into the complex' Palm Trees! What a joke! It appears they were trying to turn this apartment complex into a place that might have looked good in the middle of the Arizona desert, but that in no way belongs in San Antonio, Texas.

In addition that all this, they are raising the rent by HUGE amounts and only offering a 6 month lease to residents who have lived here for years and years. Of course, this is so they can raise the rent higher and higher every 6 months. The management is useless. Privately they confide in us that they also hate the colors, rocks, etc, but tell us they have no say so in anything and that it is all up to the new owners.

Well, new owners, guess what. Most of us who have lived here for years are fed up and plan on moving as soon as our leases are up. The quality of the new people who are moving in is a joke. They throw garbage all over (oh yes, the grounds keeper was fired) which ranges anywhere from fast food junk to beer cans. I have personally seen some of these new residents throwing litter on the ground.

Bottom line, if you are dumb enough to move here after being warned, you deserve what you get!
