My mistake was not looking at this site before I leased my apartment. I have had the same problem with maintenence and mgmt. I was also shown a renovated apartment and was rented a old, crappy one instead. There has been a constant leak in the walls (even coming from the ceiling), mold is growing in my bedroom (which I reported when I first moved in), paint is peeling from the walls, the toilets are tempermental (also another work order), the dishwasher does not actually wash the dishes, and the last straw was when I found out a work order had not been placed at all for a few things even after calling numerous times.

Please do not rent here...yeah it's cheap and has a lot of square footage but its not worth the grief at all. I have never lived in such a disgusting place ever!

All I can say is that I'm so sorry you had to find out after signing a lease. I believe that originally, this place was pretty great and then they started renting to trashy people and maybe management has changed and the attitudes changed with it. There is hope though and once the lease is up and you're out of there you will appreciate life, your new place and will become a more proficient apartment/house shopper. I know I have!
